Senior Bookkeeper (Xero Expert)

Job Requirements:

Minimum of 3.5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in the retail or consumer goods industry.
Proficiency in Xero accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Core responsibilities:

Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of financial transactions by establishing accounts and posting transactions.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payment of invoices and accurate recording of receipts.
Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank and credit card statements, ensuring all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved.
General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing trial balances, and reconciling entries.
Payroll Processing: Assist in processing payroll, ensuring accurate calculation and timely distribution of salaries. Financial Reporting:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Data Entry: Accurately input financial data into accounting software and maintain organized digital and physical financial records.
Expense Management: Monitor and track company expenses. Prepare and process expense reports and reimbursements.
Support Functions: Provide support for other administrative tasks as needed, including managing office supplies and assisting with special projects.
