It’s a world-class Mine and is known to be the first to use Digital Process Automation within the Philippines. Garnered also multiple MGB Safety awards like the prestigious 2016 Presidential Mineral Industry Environmental Award, the highest award conferred by the Philippine Mine Safety and Environment Association and accredited in ISO 14001 and 5001 and with 15+ years of mining ahead of us.

Job Description
- Share responsibility in providing direction and direct supervision to the Community Relations Exploration Team to ensure efficient planning, implementation and monitoring of plans and programs including the Community Development Program (CDP);
- Obtain and sustain community support for all OGP activities for the successful execution of the Exploration Work Program in the target areas;
- Conduct regular immersion, information, education, and communication (IEC) with stakeholders to update them on the exploration activities and other relevant information;
- Implement the complaints and grievance processes to manage and resolve issues and concerns;
- Conduct stakeholder dialogues and surveys to understand communities’ needs, perceptions, and attitudes and integrate them into the community engagement plan for continuous improvement and ensure all engagements are captured in the database;
- Conduct a consultative and participative planning process on social development programs that are outcome-based and address socio-economic issues, enhance physical and natural resources, and support local culture and traditions; and
- Develop partnerships with local communities, and government agencies and collaborate on programs, projects, and activities to contribute to sustainable development.
Qualifications
- Behaviour consistent with Oceana Gold Values and the Oceana Gold Way;
- Graduate of Social science-related courses (e.g., Social and Development Studies, Social Science, Human Ecology, Community Development, etc.). A Master’s degree is an advantage;
- At least five (5) years of relevant experience in conducting planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programs, projects, and activities;
- With five (5) years of experience in implementing community development projects anchored on sustainable development;
- With a strong background in the application of research tools (quantitative and qualitative) to gain an in-depth understanding of social issues;
- Strong knowledge of local context and culture;
- Preferably can speak the Ilocano or Ifugao language;
- A motivated self-starter who can operate autonomously;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written; and
- With a valid Professional Driver’s license is preferred.
