Junior Java Backend Developer – Poland

We are seeking a talented and driven Junior Java Backend Developer to join the mission to make financial services accessible and improve the lives of millions of people in Africa and emerging markets.

Requirements

1+ years of commercial experience in Java 17+, programming skills and its core libraries
Analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Spring Framework knowledge
Experience with Postgre SQL
OOP & Design patterns
Upper-intermediate-level of English
Basic understanding of microservices
Experience with AWS services (Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS) will be a plus

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend services
Resolve technical problems, critical thinking on development approach
Design and implement RESTful APIs for various financial products
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance service performance and scalability
Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of the development process
Troubleshoot and debug issues in a distributed microservice environment
