Senior Software Development Engineer - Full Stack - HVDC Digital R&D

Description

We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer with background in Full Stack Development. A person that will help pave the way for our digital platforms by focusing – but not exclusively – on functionality utilizing data analytics.

Our R&D engineers and scientists develop breakthrough technologies that change the way the world works, and industries do business. We constantly push the limits of convention, while retaining our focus on delivering quality products and solutions to our customers.

You will be working in an agile team setup in a Global Environment, with colleagues in Poland that is cooperating with teams in India and Sweden. You will report to the local department but also to the Global R&D functions for digital solutions in HVDC.

The team is working in an agile way where all team members are expected to contribute with their knowledge and experiences to achieve the common goals for the development of the products. This means that the team is doing breakdown of activities together, collaborate within the team as well as seeking collaboration with other relevant teams in (and sometimes outside) the HVDC organization.

Your responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain software that deliver value to the analytics functions of our asset monitoring solutions.
Implement software solutions that – across platforms – are scalable, efficient, and maintainable.
Deliver and deploy production ready code for front-end and back-end.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
Share knowledge and insights openly with colleagues.
Keeping up to date with most recent software development trends and technologies.

Your background

5+ years of experience in software development.
Strong proficiency in Java Script/Type Script, including ES6+ syntax.
Good experience with React.js and its core principles including State management such as Flux or Redux.
Experience with Node.js and Express.js.
Experience working with Python and associated libraries.
Experience with database systems such as My SQL, Postgre SQL, Mongo DB, etc.
Excellent communication skills to present findings clearly and effectively.
Experience in CI/CD software development and related tools.
Experience in API development.
Fluent in English – spoken and written.

Beneficial

Bachelor’s degree or higher (or equivalent work experience) in Computer Science, Software Development, or an equal field of study.
Experience creating visualizations and software tools for manual and automatic data analysis.
Experience working with Airflow.
Experience working with design tools, such as Figma.
Experience working in an agile environment.
