Are you a retired Maths teacher who misses the classroom and fancies 3 months in the winter sunshine? St. Peter’s International School, Palmela, Portugal (just 30 minutes south of Lisbon) are seeking a Maths cover until January.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and deliver engaging, interactive, and differentiated Mathematics lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, creativity, and independent learning.
Assess, track, and provide constructive feedback on student progress, ensuring each student achieves their full academic potential.
Contribute to curriculum development, incorporating global best practices in Mathematics education.
Collaborate with the Department to plan and deliver cross-curricular initiatives that enhance student learning experiences.
Participate actively in school-wide pastoral care, ensuring the wellbeing and holistic development of all students.
Engage in co-curricular activities and enrichment programs to support student learning beyond the classroom.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Mathematics education trends, including IGCSE, IB, and A-Levels, to ensure the highest teaching standards.

University degree in appropriate subject.
Excellent subject knowledge, ensuring good progress for all students.

Adaptable teaching style incorporating feedback.

Genuine care and attention for the highest standards of student welfare.
Confidence with use of ICT in teaching.
