Responsible for estimating costs and preparing detailed quotations for Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) systems in construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for ACMV systems, including HVAC (Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems, ductwork, fans, exhaust systems, etc.
• Quantify materials, labor, and equipment requirements for ACMV installations based on drawings, specifications, and site visits.
• Review design documents, specifications, and mechanical drawings to identify the scope of work and estimate the required materials and labor.
• Prepare ESP (External Static Pressure) calculations for fans and other equipment.
• Ensure in-depth knowledge of ACMV-related standards, including air quality, noise control, and ventilation efficiency.
• Analyze project drawings, including HVAC and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) plans, to identify any gaps or discrepancies in the design.
• Request quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, and evaluate pricing for materials, equipment, and services.
• Ensure the proposed systems are feasible based on site conditions, local codes, and regulations.
• Work on material submittals and pre-qualifications as per project specifications and requirements.
• Have knowledge of electrical and control work for HVAC systems.
• Maintain attention to detail with the ability to identify potential cost savings while ensuring system efficiency and compliance.
• Perform value engineering to propose cost-effective solutions while maintaining project performance and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Professional certifications in ACMV systems, HVAC are a plus.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in ACMV estimation, HVAC design, or related fields, with a focus on large-scale commercial or residential projects.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and standards (ASHRAE, local building codes, NFPA, QCDD).
