We are looking to hire Electrical Supervisor to join our esteemed organization.
Nature and Scope of Position:

• Conducting routine inspection of all kinds of Buildings, Sport Facilities and Service Buildings including preparation of snags report to QU – BOD FMO Office for appropriate action of outsourced Operation and Maintenance Contractor
• Supervising the daily electrical maintenance activities on different electrical equipment like Transformers, DG sets, switch gears, MCC panels, UPS, Lifts and other electrical equipment to ensure the procedures and materials comply with maintenance and project specifications, contract documents and/or work instructions.
• Conducts routine readings of all k Whr meter registry as per direction of the Engineer and/or his authorized representative.
• Verifies implementation & compliance on site of the maintenance schedule and/or associated activities for various building and facilities (preventive, corrective, predictive and/or emergency) works and reports to the Engineer and/or his authorized representatives as a matter of standard operating procedure - for information, comments and proper dispositions.
• Supervises and ensures prompt and/or timely implementation of the approved preventive maintenance plan including monitoring of assigned manpower and availability of logistics.
• Supervises and ensures timely resolution of corrective maintenance requests / complaints from various clients related to electrical system (e.g. bulb replacements, tripped power supply & etc)
• Monitor the performance of the contractors, take corrective action where appropriate.
• Evaluates and inspects a specific work to be done upon the receipt of Work Request generated by the Oracle System, including also some letter requests and/or verbal directives / requests from various operating departments of Qatar University. Routinely reports to the Engineer or his authorized representative and/or directly to the QU assigned Oracle System Planner in order for him to dispose appropriately electrical issues.
• Maintain detailed project files and ensure that an updated copy of the documents such as “as built” drawings are submitted to the Archives and Mail unit at an appropriate stage during the project or on its completion

• Maintain the records of work orders issued to outsourced O&M Contractor and follow-up for updates.
• Maintaining Technicians duty log and assigning them for the In-house works ( building inspections, additional works ,events monitoring etc).
• Prepare reports on maintenance work detailing the progress, backlog, service levels, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations and discuss these with the Electrical Engineer and/or Head of Electromechanical Section.
• Ensure that all the relevant facilities master data and related maintenance related information is updated in QU’s asset/facilities management system in an accurate and timely manner
• Ensure that QU’s security and safety guidelines are followed and assist the Head of Security and Safety in preparing reports for any security and/or safety incidents
• Maintain confidentiality of information at all times
• Perform other job duties as necessary and assigned by the Engineer or is authorized representative.

Experience and Education:

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent Course Certification (Minimum 3 years academic-full time) from a recognized university or Technical Institute/college or National Technical Course Certification Authority
• Minimum of 5 years (2 years in GCC) of building operation & maintenance and/or construction project experience in education/healthcare/residential with a construction services/ Facility management organization
• Fluent in writing, reading and speaking English language
• Excellency in computer skills including using MS Word and Excel, Internet browsing/searching, data transferring, making reports with good formatting…etc
