Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our carpentry team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for carpentry projects by analyzing project requirements, reviewing blueprints, and determining material, labor, and time costs. This role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure competitive pricing and profitability.
Job Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our carpentry team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for carpentry projects by analyzing project requirements, reviewing blueprints, and determining material, labor, and time costs. This role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure competitive pricing and profitability.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze project specifications and requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Review architectural and engineering drawings to understand project scope.
- Identify and quantify all materials, labor, and overhead costs.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to refine estimates.
- Maintain a database of costs for future reference and benchmarking.
- Assist in preparing bids and proposals for projects.
- Monitor and adjust estimates based on project changes and client feedback.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an estimator in the carpentry or construction industry.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
