OEM Equipment Specialist (Rotary Equipment, Transformers, and Turbines Specialist)

Department: Engineering/Maintenance
Location: Ras Laffan, Qatar
Contract duration: 3 months extendable
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Siemens rotary equipment, transformers, and turbines.
- Technical Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of Siemens rotary equipment, transformers, and turbines.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and software specific to Siemens products.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Certifications: Siemens OEM certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Maintenance and Repair:
- Perform routine maintenance on rotary equipment, transformers, and turbines as per the OEM guidelines.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and operational issues with equipment.
- Ensure all equipment is operating at optimal efficiency and within the manufacturer's specifications.
- Troubleshooting:
- Identify and resolve complex technical issues related to equipment.
- Use diagnostic tools and software to assess equipment performance and detect potential problems.
- Implement corrective actions to prevent the recurrence of issues.
- Installation and Commissioning:
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Work closely with representatives and contractors to ensure proper installation and integration with existing systems.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and inspections performed on equipment.
- Prepare reports on equipment performance, maintenance activities, and any issues encountered.
- Update and manage the equipment maintenance schedule and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
- Collaboration and Training:
- Collaborate with other engineering and maintenance teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Provide technical support and training to junior technicians and other staff on equipment.
- Liaise with technical support for advanced troubleshooting and updates.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations when working with equipment.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and environmental regulations.
- Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments regularly.
