Senior Accountant

We are seeking a Senior Accountant who is an impact player to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the financial statements. The ideal candidate is responsible for migrating the financial system of the company to SAP whilst at the same time introducing a comprehensive financial planning and reporting capability utilizing SAP.
The ideal candidate is expected to have a deep sense of ownership, ability to identify process improvement opportunities, possess solid operational and technical accounting background, and drive positive change across the organization.

Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial close process including preparation of journal entries.
- Drive acceleration of the current GL “General Ledger” close process by identifying and leading the implementation of automation and streamlining of the monthly/quarterly close processes.
- Ensure consolidated financial statements are consistent with GAAP “Generally Accepted Accounting Principles”, including newly issued and emerging pronouncements.
- Partner and aid implementation of systems including SAP and leverage technology to build scalable/sustainable processes to create efficiencies, streamline accounting operations and improve employee experience.
- Analyze existing financial structure and realign it according to the SAP requirements.
- Ensure the SAP implementation across the group and integrate and automate with all the forward-looking financial planning and forecasting data that is held with the SAP.
- Review expenses at a cost center level for accuracy and understanding of key trends.
- Ensure balance sheet accounts are properly calculated, supported, and reconciled utilizing the Blackline tool.
- Prepare supporting schedules and facilitate follow-up as part of the company’s annual external audit.
- Work closely with FP&A “Financial Planning & Analysis” team on reporting efforts and monthly accruals related to budgeting and forecasting.
- Establish and own effective internal controls and appropriate accounting procedures, including evaluation of processes and controls for compliance.
- Interacts with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting challenges, drive operational improvement, and enhance financial processes.
- Continuously scale and improve current processes and policies to meet the needs of a high-growth organization.
- Complete other accounting duties as assigned including ad hoc/ impromptu projects.

- Other duties as assigned by Management.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA license or path to CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive general ledger accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibilities.
- Technical and international accounting experience preferred.
- Positive attitude, ability to work well and fast under pressure, exceptional customer service.
- Results driven with a high sense of urgency, taking ownership and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
- Solid understanding of GAAP, general accounting processes and internal controls, and financial analysis tools.
- Good experience using SAP and Excel.
