Job Title: Sous Chef / Head Chef (Arabic and International Cuisine)
Monthly Salary: QAR 7,000 (Full package / All in)
Location: Doha, Qatar
Reports to: The Owner
Department: Operations
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef / Head Chef with a strong background in Arabic and International cuisine to lead and manage the kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, leadership, and culinary expertise to our restaurant, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service. You will be responsible for menu development, kitchen management, and maintaining a strong focus on delivering an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and create innovative menus featuring a mix of traditional Arabic dishes and popular international cuisines.
  • Ensure seasonal, fresh, and locally sourced ingredients are incorporated into the menu.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to ensure menu items are aligned with the restaurant’s vision and customer preferences.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation.
  • Ensure that kitchen staff adhere to safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff, including line cooks, junior chefs, and sous chefs.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and motivated kitchen environment.
  • Schedule and coordinate kitchen staff shifts to meet business demands.
  • Ensure food is prepared to the highest standard of quality and consistency.
  • Monitor portion sizes, reduce waste, and optimize kitchen productivity.
  • Maintain quality control for every dish that leaves the kitchen, focusing on presentation and taste.
  • Manage food cost controls by effectively ordering, inventory control, and reducing food waste.
  • Work with the management team to develop and manage kitchen budgets.
  • Ensure profitability by maintaining portion control, minimizing wastage, and optimizing resources.
  • Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service between kitchen and dining.
  • Report regularly to the Owner on kitchen performance and improvements.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Head Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel, with a focus on Arabic and International cuisine.
  • Strong knowledge of Arabic culinary traditions and international cooking techniques.
  • Proven ability to lead, manage, and inspire a diverse kitchen team.
  • Strong passion for creating and innovating new dishes.
  • Exceptional time management and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent training from an accredited culinary school preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From QAR7,000.00 per month
