Vice President - MIS BI and AI (Qatarization)

We are looking for a Vice President - MIS BI and AI (Qatarization) for a permanent role with a prestigious financial institution in Doha, Qatar.
Main Responsibilities:
· Assist in the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for MIS Reporting, Business Intelligence, and Artificial Intelligence within the unit, monitoring achievements periodically.
· Implement KPIs and best practices to optimize the efficiency and productivity of MIS, BI, and AI functions.
· Foster cost-consciousness, minimize waste, and maximize benefits for the organization.
· Operate within delegated authority, manage resource delegation, and monitor its effective exercise.
· Understand and communicate key factors influencing financial and non-financial performance.
· Lead the integration of BI and AI solutions across departments to facilitate a deeper understanding of customers and product offerings, supporting strategic product development.
· Ensure timely and accurate reporting to regulatory bodies.
· Collaborate with internal/external auditors and compliance teams to address and learn from past findings.
· Address customer queries on products and services, ensuring prompt and effective resolutions.
· Maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) across departments to support timely service delivery.
· Foster relationships with related departments to meet organizational goals.
· Provide accurate data to auditors, compliance, and financial and risk teams when needed.
· Oversee compliance with MIS/BI/AI policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
· Enhance reporting and business intelligence processes to align with industry standards while ensuring operational efficiency.
· Regularly review reporting templates to confirm compliance with regulatory requirements and system changes.
· Collaborate with management to assess and implement BI/AI enhancements.
· Work with stakeholders to apply Agile methodology across projects and processes.
· Conduct customer and regulatory needs analyses to align with MIS/BI/AI systems and processes.
· Support customer and agency audits and address any non-conformities from prior reviews.
· Promote a motivated, goal-oriented team culture through coaching and professional development.
· Lead cross-functional improvement initiatives to achieve team success.
· Drive industry-standard best practices and encourage innovative problem-solving.
· Maintain expertise in Agile methodology, Scrum Framework, Secure Dev Ops, and Automation tools.
· Identify personal and team development needs, fostering opportunities for continuous growth.
· Conduct regular team performance assessments and manage conflicts effectively.
· Facilitate staff development opportunities to prepare team members for increased responsibilities.
· Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements, including Group Compliance Policies (AML & CTF, Sanctions, Data Protection, Fraud Control, and Insider Dealing Policies).
· Support risk management through the application of the Three Lines of Defense model, and manage risks appropriately.
· Ensure positive outcomes for clients per Conduct Risk policy.
· Uphold operational risk management processes, including RCSA, KRI, and incident reporting.
· Complete all mandatory training and seminars, maintaining full qualification and competence
· Uphold high standards of data protection and confidentiality in handling customer and organizational information.
· Consistently maintain high professional standards to reinforce the organization’s market leadership and reputation.
· Perform additional duties as requested by management.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or Information Technology.
· Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, ideally within a top-tier international banking institution.
· Certification in Big Data and Artificial Intelligence is preferred.
