What we’re looking for
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in translating business needs into functional specification, working closely with stakeholders, and collaborating with developers to deliver technology solution that drive our business forward.
What you’ll be doing
- Analyze and evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs;
- Counsel and liaise the business units;
- IT development teams and any third party regarding software functionality, throughout the development lifecycle;
- Provide functional expertise and interface to the business units and Quality Assurance Tester during testing phases;
- Consult subject matter experts within each IT functional team or outside IT sub department to establish all possible technical solutions, analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs and alignment of impact with other functional areas;
- Collect business requirements using meetings and interviews with business units, requirements document analysis, requirements workshops, use cases, scenarios;
- Communicate and negotiate feasibility resolutions, priorities and deadlines with the business units and propose compromises between conflicting requirements;
- Consult IT functional teams managers and subject matter experts for evaluation of potential planning and costs according with resources availability;
- Translate business requirements into feasibility studies and/or functional specifications according to the standard templates and using easily understood terms for both business and technology units;
- Assure mentoring and knowledge transfer for Junior Business Solution Analyst, if requested by the superior;
- If requested, manage transversal projects within IT department, initiated as a response to a business request: Obtain business requirements document validated by the requestor;
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables and develop project plans together with technical teams using appropriate tools;
- Participate in technical solution definition Prioritize, plan and follow-up development of multiple tasks effectively;
- Notify the internal client regarding schedule, costs and resources of the project;
- Coordinates systems/applications testing;
- Monitor implementation process in order to assure delivering promised solutions on time, on budget and on scope;
- Consult IT Operations experts, for evaluation of capacity-related aspects based on volume forecasts provided by business requestors;
- Validate that User Acceptance Tests results conform to the business requirements.

- Database and SQL is a plus.
