What you bring to the team:

• Proven experience on a similar role for at least 3+ years.
• Linux OS a EUR" advance experience required 3+ years.
• Practical experience with Configuration Management tools: Ansible, Ansible Tower.
• Practical experience with Redis, IBM MQ.
• Practical experience with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, update and upgrade for the Linux OS and applications.
• Practical experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent tech).
• Scripting and/or programming experience with one of the following: Python, Bash.
• Networking knowledge and troubleshooting tools (operating system, network, storage).
• Understanding of networking concepts and internet protocols.
• Knowledge of web/application servers.
• Experienced in working in a complex environment following Agile methods. 24x7 mindset and are willing to participate in a stand-by shift, knowing that ING operates a 24x7 business for its customers.

Nice to have:

• Experience with databases is a plus.
• Experience with virtualization, Public or Private Cloud Providers (Azure, VMware).
• Experience with continuous delivery, continuous integration pipelines (Gitlab CI, Azure Dev Ops).
• Experience with software development IDEs.

• Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes or Open Shift. Your day to day:
• Get involved in designing, building and maintaining the system.
• Manage and troubleshoot Linux OS, application, and networking issues.
• Install, maintain, troubleshooting, update and upgrade Linux Operating System and application software.
• Monitor system, application, and performance/availability.
• Automate all parts of the system, from deploying to self-healing mechanisms.
• Increase our platform adoption of core automation toolset and services.
• Improve our infrastructure, monitoring, tooling and continuous delivery processes.
• Research, identify and drive opportunities to improve automation.
• Troubleshoot and solve any encountered issues across our technology stack focusing on permanent fixes and automation instead of point-fixes.
• Plan for system and software upgrades for projected growth and new projects.
• Monitor and respond to problems reported.
• Provide architectural guidance and implementation expertise.
• Support our platform users and consumers.
