As the Front Office Manager, you will:
- Act as the “Service Champion” for the Front Office team and create a positive atmosphere for guest relations.
- Display leadership in guest hospitality, exemplify excellent customer service, and create a positive atmosphere for guest relations.
- Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring that the quality, standards and expectations of our guests and met and exceeded on a daily basis.
- Improve service by communicating and assisting associates to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed.
- Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with associates and ensure they do the same within the team. Observe service behaviors of employees and provide feedback to individuals and/or managers.
- Keep the Front Office team focused on the critical components of operations to drive guest satisfaction and the desired financial results.
- Ensure clear and consistent communication with the team in order to ensure desired results.
- Manage department controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
- Provide service that exceeds expectations in terms of guest satisfaction and retention and empower team members do the same.
- Review guest satisfaction results and other data to identify areas of improvement.
- Respond to and handle guest issues and complaints.
- Establish challenging, realistic and obtainable goals to guide operation and performance.
- Be actively involved in the recruitment process of the Front Office team to ensure that the new team members possess the appropriate skills to meet the business needs of the operation.
- International exposure in multiple 5* luxury hotels;
- Strong experience as an operational manager;
- Knowledge of the operating principles and practices of all brand/hotel-specific functions to support successful operations;
- A gift for paying attention to the smallest details;
- Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing);
- A warm, people-oriented demeanor and a positive attitude;
- Proficiency in English; knowing a second foreign language represents an advantage;
- Computer skills and ability to use standard software applications;
- Strong planning and organizing skills, able to drive results and high standard in operations;
- Strong problem-solving and effective decision making skills;
- Ability to acquire and maintain relationships e.g., employees, guests;
- Effective influence skills and good negotiation skills.
