Job Summary:
The Network Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a scalable, secure, and high-performance network infrastructure that supports the organization’s business needs. This position requires expertise in Cisco and Juniper hardware, Cisco SD-WAN, Palo Alto firewalls, Infoblox DNS and DHCP, Strata Cloud Manager, IP Fabric for network automation and monitoring, and cloud networking experience in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will possess advanced skills in network design, security, cloud integration, and network automation.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Architecture & Design:

Develop, implement, and manage robust network architectures for both on-premises and cloud environments (OCI and Azure).
-
Design, configure, and oversee Cisco and Juniper hardware, including routers, switches, and wireless access points, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.

Architect and implement Cisco SD-WAN solutions for efficient and secure WAN connectivity.
-
Create network diagrams, documentation, and guidelines to support operational teams and future expansions.

Develop, implement, and manage robust network architectures for both on-premises and cloud environments (OCI and Azure).

Cloud Networking:
-
Design and manage network integration with cloud environments, specifically within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Azure, ensuring seamless and secure connectivity.

Configure virtual networks, network security groups, load balancers, and other cloud networking services on OCI and Azure.
-
Collaborate with cloud architects to integrate network solutions that support cloud-native applications and hybrid environments.

Design and manage network integration with cloud environments, specifically within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Azure, ensuring seamless and secure connectivity.

Firewall and Security Management:
-
Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls to protect network assets and enforce security policies.
-
Use Strata Cloud Manager for centralized policy management, monitoring, and automation across Palo Alto firewalls.

Ensure network compliance with organizational and industry security standards and best practices.

Network Automation & Monitoring:

Implement and manage IP Fabric to streamline network automation, monitoring, and visibility.

Develop automation scripts and workflows for network configuration and monitoring, minimizing manual tasks and ensuring network consistency.

Utilize Strata Cloud Manager and IP Fabric to identify and troubleshoot network issues, optimize performance, and ensure service reliability.
-
Implement and manage IP Fabric to streamline network automation, monitoring, and visibility.
-
DNS and IP Management:
-
Oversee Infoblox for DNS, DHCP, and IP address management (IPAM) to maintain an organized and efficient IP schema.
-
Ensure high availability of critical services like DNS and DHCP, supporting operational resiliency.
-

Project Leadership & Collaboration:

Lead network infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and cloud integrations.

Collaborate with internal IT, cybersecurity, and cloud teams to ensure seamless integration of network architecture with other IT domains.

Mentor junior network engineers, sharing expertise and promoting adherence to best practices.

Documentation & Compliance:

Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, designs, and standards.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

Experience:

7+ years in network architecture, including both on-premises and cloud environments.

Strong background in configuring and managing Cisco and Juniper hardware, Cisco SD-WAN, and Palo Alto firewalls.

Proven experience with cloud networking, specifically within OCI and Azure environments.

Familiarity with centralized management using Strata Cloud Manager for Palo Alto devices.
-
Extensive experience with network automation and monitoring using IP Fabric.
-
Proficiency with Infoblox for DNS, DHCP, and IP address management.
-
7+ years in network architecture, including both on-premises and cloud environments.

Technical Skills:
-
Expertise in Cisco and Juniper hardware, network protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), and SD-WAN solutions.

In-depth knowledge of cloud networking and security principles for OCI and Azure.
-
Strong understanding of Palo Alto firewall management, including Strata Cloud Manager for automation and policy management.
-
Experience with network automation platforms like IP Fabric and scripting for automation (e.g., Python, Ansible).

Familiarity with DNS, DHCP, and IP address management using Infoblox.

Expertise in Cisco and Juniper hardware, network protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), and SD-WAN solutions.
