Summary:
We are creating our next generation technology platform and applications through re-usable cloud services. These cloud native applications are being built using various AWS technologies within a micro-services based architecture and an API first approach.
We are looking for a mid automation test engineer with experience in integrating automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure the smooth delivery of regular production deployments. This role is part of a key project developing the product roadmap that will shape the future of IRIS products and will gain exposure to many new and exciting technologies along the way.


Looking for a middle level QA Engineer to join our team:
The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of QA concepts and processes, api testing, aware and capable to work with concepts used in AWS (RDS database, API Gateway, Lambda, testing endpoints, AWS Cloud Watch etc), experience with test automation (Selenium, Cypress or Playwright), experience with non-functional concepts or tools (JMeter, Gatling, OWASP, Lighthouse). This role requires an individual who works comfortably with Continuous Integration/Continuous Testing (CI:CT), versioning, light coding and collaborative work.


Key Responsibilities:

• Design and run test cases, identify and report defects, verify builds and bug fixes, meet best practices and industry standards for quality.
• Use AWS tools such as Cloud Watch, Lambdas, Xray and Dynamo DB to monitor and troubleshoot backend applications.
• Utilize knowledge in Java Script/Typescript for a Cypress (Playwright experience is a bonus) automation framework, writing tests and maintaining our domain or alternatively, C# and Specflow for a Selenium automation framework.
• Utilize knowledge of Java in combination with JMeter to create and conduct non-functional performance tests (Gatling experience is a bonus).
• Utilize OWASP, Lighthouse for other non-functional tests.
• Work within CI:CT environment collaboratively with other teams for rapid, quality, release cycles.

Skills and Experience needed:

• Passionate about technology and QA
• Willing to learn new tech concepts and try new tools
• A continuous improvement mindset
• Proven experience as a QA Engineer, preferably within a mid-scale or larger organization. ISTQB certification is a bonus.
• Good knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS tools and services (Cloud Watch, Lambdas, Xray, Dynamo DB) OR GCP or Azure equivalents.
• Good experience in Javascript, Typescript and Cypress or C# with Selenium and Specflow.
• Some experience with performance testing, like Java and JMeter. Gatling knowledge is a bonus.
• Some experience with non-functional testing concepts like security (OWASP), accessibility (Lighthouse)
• Familiarity with principles of CI:CT, version control, light coding.
