Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE Engineer specialising in Railways to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As an integral part of our organisation, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental practices across our railway operations.

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE Engineer specialising in Railways to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As an integral part of our organisation, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental practices across our railway operations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive HSE management systems for railway operations
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with local and international HSE regulations and standards specific to the railway industry
- Develop and deliver HSE training programmes for staff at all levels
- Prepare detailed HSE reports and present findings to senior management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HSE considerations into all aspects of railway operations
- Stay abreast of emerging HSE trends and best practices in the railway sector
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and represent the organisation in HSE-related matters
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Professional certifications in HSE (NEBOSH, IOSH)
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in HSE roles, preferably within the railway industry
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, with a focus on railway safety standards and procedures
- Proven expertise in risk assessment, incident investigation, and environmental management systems
- Proficiency in HSE software and data analysis tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to influence at all levels
- Thorough understanding of HSE legislation and standards specific to Saudi Arabia
- Experience with railway operations and infrastructure
- Ability to work efficiently and remain organised in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are highly desirable
