Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor specialising in railway projects to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our organisation, you will play a crucial role in managing costs and contracts for complex railway infrastructure projects in the region.

Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for railway construction projects
Analyse costs, value engineer solutions, and provide cost advice to project teams
Manage contract administration, including variations, claims, and final accounts
Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for cost-related issues
Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project cost objectives are met
Prepare regular cost reports and forecasts for project management and clients
Assist in the procurement process, including tender preparation and evaluation
Monitor and report on project financial performance, highlighting any deviations from budget
Provide commercial and contractual advice to the project team
Ensure compliance with local regulations and international best practices in quantity surveying

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
Professional membership in a relevant body (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors - RICS)
Minimum of 5 years' experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on railway projects
Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., Cost X, Causeway) and Microsoft Office suite
Strong mathematical and analytical skills with keen attention to detail
In-depth knowledge of railway construction and infrastructure projects
Experience in cost estimation, cost control, and contract administration
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
Thorough understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes
Familiarity with international construction standards and practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Willingness to travel within Saudi Arabia as required for project site visits
