Interface Engineer

Position Title : Interface Engineer
Location : Project Management Consultancy (PMC) – Treated Sewage Effluent (TSE) Project; Riyadh
Industry : Water Infrastructure – TSE Networks, Water Transmission Pipelines, Pumping Stations, Tanks
Education : BSc with over 5 years or MSc with over 3 years of relevant Design and Supervision experience, with a degree or professional qualification
Experience : Minimum of 8 years in engineering roles with experience in interface management for large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in water transmission or TSE projects
Language : Good command of the English language (reading, writing, and speaking)
Role Overview:
The Interface Engineer is responsible for managing and coordinating interfaces across multiple disciplines within the TSE project to ensure smooth integration between various engineering, design, and construction activities. This position plays a critical role in resolving technical and operational challenges related to pumping stations, pipelines, tanks, and other TSE infrastructure components, ensuring alignment among all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate interfaces across engineering disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical, and ICT) to ensure seamless integration of project components.
- Develop and maintain an interface management plan to identify, monitor, and resolve potential interface issues.
- Work closely with design, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure alignment in project objectives and timelines.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to define roles, responsibilities, and communication protocols for effective interface management.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to interfaces between systems, equipment, and stakeholders.
- Conduct regular meetings with project teams to address interface-related issues and ensure prompt resolution.
- Prepare and present interface management reports, tracking all issues, actions, and resolutions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support construction and commissioning activities by providing technical advice on interface requirements and dependencies.
Qualifications:
- BSc with over 5 years of relevant Design and Supervision experience or MSc with over 3 years, in an engineering discipline (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
- Professional qualification or degree in engineering.
- Demonstrated experience in interface management, preferably within water infrastructure projects, including pumping stations, pipelines, and TSE networks.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with proficiency in project management tools for tracking and reporting.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a focus on proactive risk mitigation.
