Job Description

About the job
We’re in search of a creative 2D Art Generalist Intern for one of our studios to bring your expertise in creating endearing 2D assets that align with the stylized, cute and cartoonish artistic direction of an upcoming unannounced game.
This unannounced cooperative game is a chaotic adventure inspired by titles like Overcooked and Moving Out. It challenges players to work together in a fast-paced environment, filled with dynamic and cute concepts.
This is a full-time position located in Singapore, but we're also open to remote applications. Our core hours are in GMT+8.
Roles & Responsibilities

Collaborate with game designers and developers to understand and implement 2D assets that align with the game’s artistic vision
Create, optimise, and integrate 2D concept art, illustrations, textures and UI using industry leading software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
Take ownership of asset creation, from conceptualization to final implementation and ensuring all assets meet technical specifications and performance requirements within the engine
Participate in brainstorming sessions to contribute creative ideas that enhance the overall visual appeal of the game
Iterate and refine 2D assets based on feedback from team members and playtesting
Stay updated on industry trends, especially those related to the engine and associated art pipelines

Requirements

Great artistic judgement and decision making with a general understanding of colour, lighting, composition
Strong portfolio of work demonstrating proficiency in various forms of 2D work
Proven experience working closely with other disciplines as well as being a team player’
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, iterative development environment
Diploma in graphic design, 2D / 3D, video game art or equivalent experience
Good UI & UX sensitivity is a major plus
Preference and/or proficiency in stylized cute and cartoonish art styles
