What You Will Be Working On:

• Develop, lead, and implement the prototype strategy for robotics in alignment with the organization's mission. Serve as the key representative for robotics strategy in executive stakeholder meetings and lead efforts to garner support for the strategy.
• Lead a small team of engineers and work within an agile, cross-functional group to develop prototypes and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) for embodied AI in robotics.
• Engage in the design, implementation, and deployment of AI algorithms related to robotics foundational models, and embodied agents. Develop interfaces for deploying these algorithms on robot hardware or simulations, and coordinate with the product team for technology transfer.
• Keep abreast with the latest advancements in AI for robotics systems. Prepare unboxing slides, technical papers, design documentation, and test reports.
• Foster collaboration with academic and industry counterparts to facilitate the transition and innovation of research findings into industry applications.

What We Are Looking For:

• Ph D / Masters / Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Enthusiastic and open-minded about developing AI-driven robotics applications. Experience in humanoid robot development is a plus.
• Exceptional engineering skills for rapid prototyping and MVP development. Proficiency in Python is essential; experience with C++ and CUDA is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in training large language models, multimodal generative models, and control policies. Knowledge on robotics transformer and vision-language-action models are preferred. Over 10 years of expertise in generative AI, reinforcement learning, or robotics research, with more than 5 years of experience leading a technical team.
• Good interpretation skills, translating business requirements into technical specifications, and communicating persuasively with senior stakeholders. Able to adjust messaging effectively based on the audience and seamlessly transition between business and technical discussions.
• Proficient in agile methodologies, adept at maintaining roadmap plans, and skilled in articulating, managing, and adapting to changes promptly.
