One of the world's leading as well as recognisable Investment managers is looking for a dynamic Quantitative Analyst to work with some of their Senior Portfolio Managers in this exclusive team generating 'before the curve' investment ideas based on bleeding edge research and data analysis.
One of the world's leading as well as recognisable Investment managers is looking for a dynamic Quantitative Analyst to work with some of their Senior Portfolio Managers in this exclusive team generating 'before the curve' investment ideas based on bleeding edge research and data analysis. This role will see the successful incumbent will be involved from day one with input into investment decisions, with the ultimate goal of one day becoming a Portfolio Manager. This role will see you heavily immersed into their lucrative Global Commodities trading team based in Singapore. This team look for the world's best and brightest with academia heavily impacting and challenging the financial world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate high yielding investment ideas based on research and data analysis
  • Build detailed supply and demand models
  • Raise the bar with their current analytics tools and processes while staying academically above all market research
  • Model commodity data for specific markets and produce ad hoc analysis based on short-term market developments
  • Evaluate current and exponentially improve data quality

Skillset Requirements

  • Ideally a Master's degree or equivalent experience in a hard mathematical related topic including statistics, computer science, physics
  • ONLY do apply if you have exemplary academic records back with academic achievements from a global Top Tier university
  • Strong understanding of Financial modelling
  • Strong exemplary use of Python/VBA and MATLAB
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced team environment
  • Due to the nature of the internal client base, Mandarin both written and spoken is highly desirable as some business level communication is done like this.
