Impact Guru, incubated at Harvard, is a leading healthcare crowdfunding platform in India and emerging markets. The Social Impact Fellowship Program mobilizes compassionate youth from around the world, including the Indian Diaspora, to address the pressing healthcare challenges of India.
This program is a call to action for young people who are passionate about addressing critical healthcare challenges. It offers them a unique opportunity to engage directly with impactful projects and contribute to transformative changes in the healthcare sector. The program is structured to provide fellows with a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare landscape in India, as well as practical experience in social entrepreneurship and crowdfunding.
Our Objectives and Mission:
Our mission is to inspire and empower fellows to make a significant positive difference through direct engagement and impactful initiatives. Fellows collaborate with hospitals, medical diagnostic centers, healthcare communities, and NGOs, providing critical support and innovative solutions to ensure that nobody should die due to a lack of funds. By innovating financing mechanisms like lending crowdfunding and hybrid financing, fellows help save lives and improve healthcare access.
Through an immersive experience, fellows connect with Indian communities and stakeholders, gaining a deep understanding of grassroots healthcare realities. They build relationships and trust, working hand-in-hand to address healthcare challenges while developing a holistic perspective on the socio-economic factors impacting health in India. The program equips fellows with the skills and knowledge necessary to create sustainable, long-term impacts in healthcare delivery and access within Indian communities.
We believe that the passion and empathy of today’s youth can spark lasting change and transform thousands of lives.
Roles and Responsibilities:

• Raise awareness of crowdfunding as a solution to finance critical healthcare to Indian communities through creative approaches.
• Partner with hospitals, medical professionals, and NGOs to identify patients needing financial assistance for the Indian diaspora in your country.
• Educate and counsel patients and their family members on the concept of crowdfunding
• Develop, implement, and evaluate strategies to improve the effectiveness of our crowdfunding campaigns and expand to reach more beneficiaries of the Indian diaspora in your country.
• Support International growth by identifying specific communities globally, tailoring localized outreach, launching advocacy campaigns, and ensuring long-term engagement and adaptation.
