Interest Rate Swap/Swaptions Trader

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Interest Rate Swap/Swaptions Trader to drive the development and build our Fixed Income desk in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for trading interest rate swaps (IRS) and/or swaptions, managing risk, and identifying profitable opportunities in global markets.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Trading Strategy & Execution:

Trade interest rate swaps and/or swaptions across APAC and/or US markets (Asia hours), identifying and executing on market opportunities.
Develop and implement trading strategies to exploit market inefficiencies and manage risk effectively, ensuring profitability across the portfolio.
Actively monitor interest rate curves, volatility surfaces, and other macroeconomic indicators to adjust trading strategies and capture market opportunities.

Market Analysis & Research:

Conduct in-depth analysis of interest rate markets, macroeconomic trends, central bank policies, and geopolitical events to inform trading decisions.
Collaborate with the quant and research teams to develop models, tools, and strategies that optimize trade execution and improve pricing efficiency.
Stay up to date on key economic data releases, interest rate decisions, and policy changes, adjusting strategies accordingly.

Risk Management:

Manage risk across various interest rate products, maintaining positions within approved limits while ensuring optimal risk/reward profiles.
Utilize sophisticated hedging strategies to mitigate exposure to interest rate movements, volatility, and other market risks.
Work closely with the risk management team to ensure compliance with internal risk limits and regulatory requirements.

WHO YOU ARE
The ideal candidate should have

Strong experience trading interest rate swaps, swaptions, or other related fixed income derivatives in APAC and/or US markets (Asia hours), with a proven track record of profitability and risk management.
Strong understanding of interest rate curves, market dynamics, macroeconomic factors, and monetary policy impact on interest rate products.
Expertise in managing risk associated with interest rate products, including volatility, duration, curve risk, and credit exposure.
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data and analytics to inform trading decisions and optimize strategies.
Familiarity with trading platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Tradeweb) and experience with electronic trading systems and algorithmic strategies.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including trading, quant, risk, and technology.
Familiarity with Python, C++, or other programming languages used for building models and trading algorithms.
