Department: Assembly – Process and Equipment Engineering
Project Title: Improve Assembly Yield Metrics (Yield, Lot rejection rate) for Cost Improvement.

Description:

• The Assembly internship program aim to expose interns to Assembly processes in Semiconductor manufacturing process.

Intern will be exposed to assembly Processes together with Process engineer in hands-on data collection and data analytics to optimize and improve assembly yield metrics, providing opportunity to take up full-time process engineer role in Assembly-Semiconductor manufacturing.
Scope:

• In this project, the intern will learn:

• Basic operations and troubleshooting skills for operating Assembly Die Attach equipment
• Understand and identify problem description
• Develop experimental matrix and collect data to optimize assembly processes for improving yield metrics
• Perform data analytics to finalize improvement proposal
• Assist in implementation of solution to check effectiveness of solution

Deliverable:

• Drive yield improvement and defect DPM reduction through hands-on data collection and data analytics
• Process variability reduction through inline/AOST LRR improvement

Skillset Require:

• Positive learning attitude
• Failure mode and effects analysis
• Design of experiments

Course of interests:
