Internship Period: 13 January 2025 – 31 July 2025
Job Description:
As an intern for the Transactional Legal function of the Legal Office for Asia, your primary focus will be supporting legal risk management for transactional matters, across the bank’s businesses including client segments and product offices. You will provide support with key initiatives and projects in the department.

Support transactional matters from legal perspective, across Bank side businesses including client segments and product offices.

Client segments include Japanese Corporate and Global Corporate (including corporates and financial institutions segments. Product offices include transaction banking, global markets, aviation financing, project financing, real estate financing, commodity trade financing, debt capital markets.

Provide support for key initiatives and projects supported by Transactional Legal, including projects with APAC coverage for both Bank side and Securities side businesses.

Support members of the Transactional Legal team and assist the team in performing risk assessments related to legal aspects in Singapore and Asia region related to transactional matters.

Support transactional matters from legal perspective, across Securities side businesses.
Job Requirements:

Student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in law is preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point).

Strong communication skills.
-
Good organizational and time-management skills.
-
Detail-oriented with the ability to work well with others in the legal team, contributing to collective problem-solving.

Good understanding of legal ethics and confidentiality.
