Library & Archives Solutions Pte Ltd (LAAS) incorporated in 2000, is a wholly-owned company of the National Library Board (NLB) of Singapore. It is created to be the sole distributor of products and services of NLB. The Company reaches out to the library industry to exert leadership in library innovations, as well as provide assistance to libraries that wish to expand their services and grow their capabilities. It also aims to provide productivity tools to reduce the cost of operations for clients, and to enable libraries to embrace digital technology to better serve users

- Promotion of library services and user education, including the
- Conceptualising and organising weekly programmes with key stakeholders and information search skills training
- Organising and conducting promotional activities including for e-books via e-platforms/ekiosks
- Curate and provide quality promotional content via e-platforms
- Management and development of library collection including
- Maintenance and development of print and non-print collections including subscription of e Resources and ebooks.
- Develop and review collection policy and guidelines in accordance with the users and client’s needs
- Recommend materials for the acquisition of materials
- Management and supervision of library operations
- Implement operating policies and procedures for smooth operations of the library including submission of management and library reports, usage and statistics (e.g. visitorship, loans), financial matters, system and administrative support, library budgets
- Supervise Library Officers for the smooth delivery of library services
- Plan and coordinate with facilities management and security so that library premises are well maintained, conducive and safe
- Manage and attend to user enquiries, feedback and suggestions
- Management of library systems and digital touch points
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficient in computer skills and basic library software
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Library and Information Science or related field
- Must have at least a minimum of 3 years of working experience as a Librarian
- Previous experience in library management, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in library management systems, technology, and digital resources.
- Knowledge of educational trends and curriculum needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
