Listed Derivatives Margining & Regulatory Reporting Specialist, Associate/Director (AVP)
We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Listed Derivatives Margining & Regulatory Reporting Specialist in Branch Ops Asia. The candidate will join the Singapore Listed Derivatives Governance team and will be responsible for supporting Listed Derivatives margining and regulatory reporting activities. The role will involve timely funding of firm’s margin obligation to the Exchange, compliance with various Exchange regulatory reporting requirements and facilitating new business initiatives. The Listed Derivatives Governance team always seeks to respond rapidly to business and regulatory development within the Listed Derivatives industry, making it a constantly changing environment, which demands high performance from the individuals in the team.
The individual will report to the team manager based in Singapore and will also work very closely with the Listed Derivatives Ops teams in the region.

This is a Listed Derivatives Margining & Regulatory Reporting Specialist position at Director level within Client Service & Relationship Management, which is responsible for managing internal and external client relationships. We do this by engaging in client service activities, optimizing the client experience, and managing vendor/external business partner relationships.

What you'll do in the role:
Serve as a subject matter expert within functional area, working with Team Manager to manage processes, risks and/or projects, proposing and implementing improvements/changes
Act as key problem solver for area or expertise, applying detailed knowledge to address unique or novel situations, recognise risks and draw out key issues
Coordinate work, train and develop other team members where required, including task allocation, and project contribution
Ensuring compliance with Exchange margin requirements and timely funding of margin/collateral obligations
Accurate and timely submission of Listed Derivatives regulatory reports
Working with legal, compliance, IT and project teams to analyze new Business initiatives, regulatory requirements and deploy new processes
Maintaining effective risk controls over processes and ensuring compliance with Firm policy/procedure
Looking for process or system improvements to increase capacity and mitigate risk
Providing back up support and coverage for other functional teams in Singapore Asia Branch Operations
What you'll bring to the role:
University degree with Min. 4 years of experience in an Operation role
Experience with global investment bank, with Exchange Margin/Collateral management experience preferred.
Strong understanding of Listed Derivatives products, margin requirements and regulations.
Experience in dealing with Exchange/Regulators
Detail oriented with strong risk awareness and able to perform operational responsibilities to a consistently high standard
Sound judgement and problem solving skills
High personal commitment and integrity
Good communication and stakeholder management skills, able to interact and work effectively across functions/locations
Ability to lead by example, work with drive and determination, and put forward challenging views to senior levels
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of functional area and operational/compliance policies and procedures of their team
Ability to operate independently across the majority of day-to-day responsibilities
