About the role

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be pivotal in developing and maintaining the server-side logic that powers our web and mobile applications. You will ensure high performance and responsiveness of our backend systems, working closely with various teams to integrate front-end components. While this role focuses on backend development, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is beneficial.

What you'll do

• Develop, maintain, and optimize server-side logic, scripts, and web services.
• Integrate front-end elements developed by other teams into server-side functionality.
• Ensure high performance, scalability, and responsiveness of all backend components.
• Implement security measures and data protection routines at the backend level.
• Design and maintain databases, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager and offshore development teams.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers and promote a culture of continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of proven experience in Java development.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and REST API development.
• Proficiency with databases, particularly Mongo DB or other No SQL databases.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with Cloud Technologies (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with local and offshore teams.
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies is an advantage.
