Grocery Logistics Singapore (GLS) a wholly owned subsidiary of Fair Price Group Supply Chain, is a well-established logistics player in the Fast Moving Consumers Goods (FMCG) segment, incorporated since January 1993. Other than being the key logistics provider for NTUC Fair Price and its subsidiaries, we had serviced the Dairy Farm Group, Royal Ahold Group (since exited from Singapore Markets) and many small supermarket chains since our establishment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Fair Price Group Supply Chain Business Unit (FPG SC BU) or Grocery Logistics of Singapore Pte Ltd (GLS) is a key logistics service provider to NTUC Fair Price Group and external customers. Our services provided include inbound logistics, warehouse and fulfilment and last mile delivery to the stores, customers and B2C home delivery.
You will be a key member to contribute towards the growth and delivery of the Supply Chain Development & Analytics department. This role requires an experienced data enthusiast who enjoys optimizing data systems and solving problems through data, with extensive technical expertise in big data technology, data ingestion pipeline, data modelling and visualisation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be a key member to contribute towards the growth and delivery of the Supply Chain Development & Analytics department. This role requires an experienced data enthusiast who enjoys optimizing data systems and solving problems through data, with extensive technical expertise in big data technology, data ingestion pipeline, data modelling and visualisation.
Job Responsibilities
- Creates value through architecting, designing, building and maintaining data infrastructure and solutions that power data driven insights and supports our Supply Chain BU core business objectives.
- Build strong relationships and proactively work with internal stakeholders to understand their business requirement / challenges and translate into business technical specifications plus supporting them with data-related technical issues.
- Work closely with relevant stakeholders and other team members within SC Development & Analytics team to support on supply chain optimization projects and case studies including transportation asset utilisation, delivery schedule optimisation, warehouse optimisation, product analysis, and end-to-end movement of goods.
- Maintain and optimize the performance of data analytics infrastructure to ensure accurate, reliable and timely delivery of key insights for decision making.
- Build / set up data infrastructure, data pipelines, integrate source system data with data lakes and data mining models into data pipelines.
- Design and conceptualize solutions that address the business challenges through use of data engineering and analytics and process large amount of data by applying algorithms.
- Identifying, designing and implementing internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes.
- Build job scheduler using cloud composer to monitor and manage SQL queries, python scripts to refresh dashboards, data segments etc.
- Be a steward of good data practices – robust documentation, process and knowledge sharing.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to junior members of the team, wherever necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
Key Requirements
- In-depth understanding and min 5 years’ data engineering and analytics experience in Supply Chain, FMCG environment etc.
- Prior experience of working with e-commerce retail business, preferably on supply chain challenges.
- Master’s degree and/or Bachelor's degree in a Data Engineering or Statistical Analytics discipline, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- Extensive experience in data pipeline design and development, data modelling, data warehousing, and excellent analytical skills.
- Strong expertise in SQL, R / Python, ETL scripting or other scripting languages. Comfortable in deploying scripts and familiar with data management / ETL tools.
- Experience in supporting and driving product roadmap, and knowledge of execution is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in understanding business requirements and converting the requirements to a sustainable technical solution.
- Experience with data analytical techniques involving data wrangling, and data manipulation using SQL and any other programming languages.
- Extensive working knowledge of data mining principles: mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources.
- Proven ability with statistical methods and advanced modelling techniques.
- End to end experience in developing data analytic project with WMS systems /SAP S/4 from data extraction, modelling to visualization is preferred.
- Strong business acumen, communication and presentation skills for communicating insights in a clear, concise and actionable manner.
- Strong problem solving skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Self-driven individual and a team player with the ability to engage and collaborate well in cross-functional team.
- Ability to bring back “New Technology” and share ideas to incorporate in the existing processes.
