STIR Trading Analyst, Hedge Fund, Singapore

We are working with a top performing, collaborative hedge fund who are looking to add a Trading Analyst to join their STIR focused Singaporean Team. The fund has a strong track record of performance and demonstrate a collaborative working environment. They have an excellent performance track record and have less turnover in staff compared to platform funds. In this role, you’ll be working alongside the PM, gaining exposure to the entire trading lifecycle. They are looking for a highly talented FICC Analyst with excellent knowledge of STIR markets with high forward potential in a role with significant progression opportunities.

The right candidate would have the following:

1-2 years of experience at a tier 1 bank or fund ideally working in a trading/analytic/research capacity. Hedge Fund Sales backgrounds may be considered
Strong enthusiasm and understanding of financial system infrastructure/monetary system mechanics and STIR markets, especially the Japanese and US markets, respectively
Demonstrable experience in quantitative analytics practices, such as time series analysis.
Minimum BSc from a highly regarded institutions in a relevant subject
Strong communication skills in English (as you will be communicating with international team members)
Fluency in Japanese (due to market exposure) or dedicated knowledge on the JPY rates market *preferred, not required*

Due to the nature and size of the fund, the role will be broad. However, key responsibilities will involve:

Conduct in-depth research and analysis of financial systems and short-term interest rate markets, with a focus on Japan and the United States.
Develop and enhance data analytics tools and dashboards to support ongoing analysis.
Undertake market scanning/research to keep up to date with current trends
Supporting stakeholders on trade booking and execution
