Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer / Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in creating both technical and functional documentation, with a deep understanding of software development and enterprise systems. In this role, you will work closely with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to produce high-quality documentation that clarifies complex technical concepts for diverse audiences. You will also contribute to business analysis tasks by gathering requirements and supporting the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:

Documentation Creation:
- Develop comprehensive technical and functional documentation, including user guides, system manuals, API documentation, process flows, and training materials.
- Work with software developers and product managers to understand system functionality and produce clear, concise documentation for various audiences.
- Translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly documentation for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain documentation repositories using tools like Confluence, Jira, and Excel, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and version controlled.
Business Analysis:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
- Assist in translating business requirements into technical specifications that developers can implement.
- Ensure alignment between technical solutions and business needs by reviewing project deliverables and providing feedback.
Project Support:
- Participate in project planning, helping to define scope, objectives, and timelines for documentation deliverables.
- Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines are met without compromising quality.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and end-users to gather feedback and continuously improve documentation and project processes.
SDLC and Agile Familiarity:
- Work within the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and contribute to Agile project teams, ensuring that documentation is created and maintained in an iterative, collaborative process.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and reviews to stay informed on development progress and adapt documentation as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Technical Communication, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience as a Technical Writer, Business Analyst, or in a related role.
Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Ability to grasp and communicate complex technical concepts clearly for diverse audiences, including developers, project managers, and end-users.
Proficiency with documentation tools like Confluence, Jira, and Excel, or similar platforms.
Knowledge of software systems, APIs, databases, and enterprise architectures.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Proven ability to manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously, working within tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

Experience working with software development teams and project management tools.
Strong technical knowledge of APIs, databases, and enterprise systems architecture.
Prior experience in a fast-paced, Agile development environment.

Education & Certification:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Technical Communication, or a related field.
