Role Overview:
Lyra Health is recruiting a Bookkeeper who will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for multiple entities within the group, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of annual financial reports and statutory filings.
General Ledger Maintenance
- Maintain the general ledger for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Record journal entries for various transactions, including revenue, expenses, depreciation, and accruals.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts to subsidiary ledgers and bank statements.
Accounts Receivable and Payable
- Oversee the accounts receivable and payable functions, including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments.
- Monitor ageing of accounts receivable and take appropriate action to collect outstanding balances.
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payment.
Payroll Processing:
- Manage the payroll process for multiple entities, including calculating wages, deductions, and taxes.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and payroll regulations.
Fixed Assets:
- Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, and depreciation calculations.
- Prepare fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculations.
Tax Compliance:
- Assist in the preparation of corporate tax returns and other tax filings.
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
Financial Analysis:
- Prepare financial reports and analyses to support management decision-making.
- Identify trends and variances in financial performance.
System Implementation and Maintenance:
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting software and systems.
- Provide training and support to staff on accounting systems and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP, Sage).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- 3 -5 years experience in a similar role

- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Exposure to multi-companies and multi-currencies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point). Proficiency in Google Suite
- (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Mail, etc) is preferred, but not required.
