Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving growth by acquiring new clients, fostering relationships, and expanding the company’s footprint within the B-BBEE consulting industry. This role will focus on promoting the company’s services to businesses seeking to implement and optimize their B-BBEE strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Client Acquisition: Identify and target potential clients across various sectors who need assistance with B-BBEE compliance and strategy implementation
- Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers, including corporate executives and compliance officers, to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions
- Business Growth: Create and execute strategies to increase the company’s market share and revenue by securing new consulting projects
- *Market Research*: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, client needs, and competitive landscape in the B-BBEE consulting space
- Proposal and Presentation: Develop and deliver compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients, demonstrating the value and impact of the company’s consulting services
- Networking: Represent the company at industry events, seminars, and conferences to build brand awareness and establish new business connections
- Collaboration: Work closely with the consulting team to ensure alignment between client needs and service delivery, and to develop new consulting offerings based on market demand
- Reporting: Monitor and report on business development activities, sales performance, and client feedback to senior management
- Education: Qualification in MDP-B-BBEE is advantageous
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the consulting industry with a strong understanding of B-BBEE compliance and strategy
- Skills: Proven track record in client acquisition and relationship management, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a strategic mindset
- Knowledge: Deep knowledge of B-BBEE regulations and the South African business environment
- Personal Attributes: Proactive, goal-orientated, and capable of working independently and as part of a team, driven, enjoys sales cycle
