Duties and responsibilities

• Responsible for driving profitability of the P&L for the Division.
• Developing a local “Go-To Market” Strategy in line with the regional strategy and implementing the aligned sales model and channels, following the Group Strategy and the company’s overall vision, mission and values.
• Breaking down the regional targets received from the Managing Director into targets for local sales teams and individuals.
• Defining and implementing marketing strategies, segmentation, promotional plans, and pricing strategies.
• Monitoring performance and analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
• Remaining up to date on market conditions, competitors, clients, and any other factors which may affect the business.
• Establishing relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in the industry, foster academic relationships with scientific societies and professionals in the health sector in areas relevant to the various product portfolios.
• Ensuring the coordination of the division with the functional areas of the local organization and global headquarters (Finance, Controlling, Sales Administration, Quality & Regulatory Affairs, Supply SCM, Customer Services, etc.).
• Leading, inspiring, motivating and developing employees by building a culture of trust, accountability, and diversity.

Professional competencies

• University degree in either Business Administration, Marketing and Sales, BPharm or a senior tertiary degree in related field of health sciences.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Senior Management role within a Sales and/or Marketing department of a multi-national Medical Device or Pharmaceutical company.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional results.
• Strong financial and business acumen and experience with budgeting, financial analysis and defining sales budgets.
• Experience in successful implementation of product strategies in local markets.
• Preference will be given to candidates who understand manufacturing processes and costs.
• Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven track record of managing a Sales Team or a Marketing Team.
