Requirements

• A BSc/BEng or B Tech degree in Civil Engineering
• Registered or Eligible for Professional registration

with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)

• Minimum eight (8) years relevant experience in traffic or

transport engineering, transport planning and urban/land

use planning

• A valid driver’s license

Key Performance Areas

• Manage the regional office
• Evaluating Transport Impact Assessments
• Provide input on major rezoning, land use change,

development applications and the preparation of spatial

development frameworks

• Undertake strategic interactions with National and

Provincial Road authorities

• Processing development applications wrt transport
• Provide transport input into i.e. the City’s Integrated

Development and Transport Plan.

• Manage staff
