Picture yourself managing the daily flow of payroll, commissions, and banking with the grace of a seasoned conductor. As you prepare and review month-end journals, you ensure that every transaction aligns perfectly with our financial strategy. Your meticulous attention will make certain that purchase orders are processed seamlessly and invoices are accurately captured, safeguarding the integrity of our financial records.
But your role doesn’t stop there. You will be our journal wizard, conjuring daily and monthly journals with precision. From calculating provisions and accruals to managing credit card spends and leave provisions, you will be the driving force behind our financial accuracy. Every number you handle will be a testament to your skill and dedication.
As you step into the realm of reconciliations, you will become the guardian of accuracy. Imagine the satisfaction of preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, updating our fixed asset register, and performing bank reconciliations with impeccable attention to detail. Your expertise will ensure that every discrepancy is addressed promptly, keeping our financial records in flawless order.
Your role extends to the captivating world of financial and management reporting. Here, you will illuminate our financial landscape with insightful reports and variance explanations. Navigating the complexities of tax will be another thrilling aspect of your role. With your expertise, you will ensure that VAT schedules are accurately prepared and filed on time, keeping us ahead of deadlines and regulations. Your ability to reconcile tax accounts and ensure compliance will be instrumental in maintaining our financial integrity.
And let’s not forget the human element of your role. You will lead with excellence, managing the AP accountant and driving staff performance. Building and nurturing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders will be a key part of your journey, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
We are looking for a financial professional with a B Com Accounting Degree (Honors preferred) and at least 3 years of experience in a financial environment. Your expertise in external auditing, advanced Excel skills, and proficiency in MS Dynamics will be essential. Knowledge of IFRS (IFRS 9 & IFRS 15 an added advantage) and a passion for analytical precision will set you apart.
