Software Developer (C#, Java Script) required in Cape Town.

A well-known national Software Development and Media company is looking for a Software Developer to join their team on a full-time permanent basis for their offices based in Cape Town.

Core Purpose of The Job:
As a Software Developer, you will immerse yourself in the development of real-world applications, gaining valuable insights into how they function and integrate with major retail and product manufacturers across South Africa.
In this role, you will be an essential contributor to both custom-built and established applications, with a primary focus on the company’s Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
You will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing, managing, and monitoring the DAM system to ensure smooth digital asset workflows.
You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your leadership potential and actively participate in all stages of the agile development process.
Our team operates in a highly agile environment, leveraging Scrum, continuous integration, and peer reviews to foster collaboration and innovation.
Salary: R30 000 per month.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of 1-2 years of software development experience
• 1+ years of experience with Agile development methodologies
• 1+ years of Java Script and C# development experience
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design and Programming
• Solid knowledge of Java Script, ASP.Net, .NET Core, C#, HTML, CSS, and T-SQL (preferred)
• Familiarity with Angular, JQUERY, JSON, REST, and Web Services, and Rhino JS (a plus)
• Experience in API and web application development, including user interface design and relational database structures
• Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with peers, managers, and clients
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple timelines and tasks within client constraints
• Demonstrated ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, flexible environment
• Proven experience in solution design and implementation, especially in bespoke development

Key Performance Areas:

• Design and develop features on multiple software projects, with a primary focus on development for the Digital Asset Management platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop high-quality software solutions.
• Maintain, enhance, manage, and monitor the company’s Digital Asset Management System.
• Ensure the DAM system aligns with business needs and integrates efficiently and effectively with other company platforms.
• Participate on quick fixing of small production bugs
• Work in an agile development environment, focusing on “inspect and adapt” principles to drive continuous improvement.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
