ENVASS invites only those capable to apply for this position as a Senior Environmental Scientist, located in Gauteng, Pretoria and reporting into Senior Management.
The recruitment process will commence 5 September 2024, candidates who do not meet the requirements, will not be considered.

Qualifications/Experience Required:

Minimum of a Masters-degree in Environmental Management or Environmental Science or an associated specialist field.
Must be registered with SACNASP and have 10 years’ experience.
Extensive experience in specialist assessments including but not limited to; Biodiversity, Noise and Visual impacts, dispersion modelling, Olfactory assessments, Soil and land capability. Proficiency in supporting software programmes will be highly beneficial.
Superior knowledge of relevant environmental policies, legislation, guidelines and standards associated with expert and Specialist studies, proven based on project experience and recent training (courses).
Experience within the mining, agricultural, alternative energy, construction and water use sectors is a requirement.
Exceptional proficiency in writing detailed and high-quality proposals and reports, with the ability to demonstrate skills upon request and to guide team members through project planning and execution is essential.
Confident and effective communication skills when engaging with clients, the public and authorities as well as collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and specialists.
Have the ability to work well in a team environment, as well as the ability to work independently.
Applicants must be willing to travel and have a driver’s licence and valid passport.
Experience in the compilation of proposals, quotations and tenders.
