Job description:
The Environmental Partnership wishes to expand their team of environmental consultants. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5 years of practical experience in the field of Environmental Impact Assessment. The candidate should be well-versed with NEMA, as well as WULA processes and related legislation. As a member of our team, the successful candidate will undertake EIA’s in all forms, relating to strategic level, the regulated EIA requirements, ECO level activities and be familiar with processing the WULA online process with DWS.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
- A recognized Graduate and Post Graduate Degree in Environmental Management or related field and at least 5 years practical experience in environmental impact assessment.
- Proficiency in GIS software will be beneficial.
- A thorough knowledge of Environmental Management, the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process and environmental legislative requirements.
- Have excellent communication and project management skills.
- Proficient in English and at least fair in Afrikaans.
- Well organized – able to plan, prioritize and co-ordinate.
- The ability to work under pressure.
- The ability to work in a team and independently, as required.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
- Code B Driver’s license and willingness to travel when required. A company car will be available for work related travel.
EAPASA Registration: This is a requirement. However, consideration can be given, you have to
be an EAP candidate with EAPASA and “registrable”.
Salary range: Market Related
