Country Finance Accounting Manager (CFD)

We are looking for our Country Finance Accounting Manager in South Korea.
- Ensure accurate and timely accounting and reporting in compliance with IFRS and Local GAAP.
- Ensure consistency and compliance with IFRS GAAP and Nokia Accounting principles for the legal entity.
- Accountable for the accuracy, timeliness, and quality of local statutory reporting in collaboration with various supporters.
- Manage outsourced service delivery.
- Identify, evaluate, and report risks.
- Responsible for Financial Accounting Manager (FAM) internal controls in the country.
- Interface with the Internal Audit team at the country level.
- Support other controls according to the control catalogue.
- Oversee statutory reporting and audit for country.
- Manage compliance for indirect taxation, withholding tax (WHT), and corporate income tax processes.
- Interface with local tax authorities and review tax returns.
- Adaption to international taxation per treaty with counterpart countries abroad.
- Act as a partner for accounting and tax compliance issues arising from projects or daily business.
- Manage the process of risk identification and evaluation.
- Continuously monitor performance measures.
- Propose and implement process improvements to enhance consistency, quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Efficiently manage team resources in support of sub-regional or regional management, ensuring proper skill sets and organizational setup.
- Support Corporate Tax and Legal department when required.
- Ensure maintenance of local statutory signatories, banking signatories, and necessary powers of attorney (POA) for effective legal entity operations.
- Ensure statutory board meetings and AGMs are conducted in accordance with local laws and documented properly.
- Member of the Country Management Team (CMT) and counterpart for the Business Group on financial matters.
- May serve as a board member of local operating entities when required.
- Previous experience of 5-10 years as financial accounting manager and or Finance Director role
- Korean native level & business English skills
- Experience with application of IFRS accounting policies, tools and processes
- In depth understanding or usage of financial tool - i.e. SAP ERP
- Business acumen / business management
- People management skills (including skill development)
- Communication, motivation and negotiation skills. Ability to present to the board, senior management complex matters in a simple and concise manner.
- Strong experience in finance, planning and controlling
- Experience in big accounting firm is preferable
