Description

• Customer Development: Canvass and develop relationships with ship owners, operators, and charterers to expand Oilmar’s clientbase.
• Supply Chain Monitoring: Oversee the entire supply chain and trade cycle, from loading operations to delivery and payment collection.
• Accounts Receivable Management: Maintain and collect accounts receivables, ensuring timely payments for trades.
• Market Intelligence: Generate daily pricing and market indications from suppliers and share them with the team and clients.
• Trade Documentation: Record and follow up on all trade-related activities and payments, maintaining accurate records in the company’s database via Excel and ERP systems.
• Target Achievement: Meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) and monthly targets.

Qualification

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Maritime Studies, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the maritime industry, including vessel operations, fuel specifications, and international bunkering regulations.
• Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers and clients.
• Market Insight: Understanding of financial markets, risk management, and the ability to analyze market trends and pricing.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with environmental regulations and best practices for pollution prevention in the maritime industry.
• Teamwork: Essential qualities include being a team player with a positive attitude.
• Trading Lifestyle: Ability to thrive in the fast-paced, “round-the-clock” environment of trading/shipping.
• Compliance and Organization: Strong compliance drive, with excellent organizational, timekeeping, and bookkeeping skills.

Experience

• Minimum of 2-3 years in bunker trading or a related field within the maritime industry.
