MCO Portfolio Management Head, South Korea and ANZ

  • Position: Multi-Country Organization(MCO) Portfolio Management Head, South Korea and Australia , New Zealand

STRATEGIC CONTEXT
  • The Portfolio Management Head works collaboratively and transversally with business and internal/external stakeholders to develop and ensure short and long term business strategy aligned with Korea & ANZ MCO Pharma vision.
  • The Portfolio Management Head is expected to support Anchor Country and Satellites across MCO.
  • Is accountable to meet the market needs and develop external alliance strategy to maximize product life cyle and BOI for CKD (Aprovel, Aprovasc, Rovelito, Renvela).
  • Management of the relationship with alliances partners.
  • Can be in charge of monitoring contracts.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Portfolio Decision:
    • Support MCO Pharma GM through orchestrating key portfolio related decisions and transformational changes needed to achieve corporate goals.
    • Leads and addresses discussions enabling key portfolio decisions, manage tail-end, legacy non-promoted products and challenges along the way to increase portfolio value, maximize BOI.
    • Builds scenarios using asset and portfolio simulation, triggers, key milestones and roadmap to make it happen.
    Alliance Management:
    • Is accountable for the management of the relationship with alliances partners in order to maximize value creation and minimize risks inherent to contractual relationships.
    • Ensures governance and creates alignment among internal stakeholders and partners to realize the intended strategic and financial objectives of the collaborative contractual relationship.
    • Leads across and ensures overall performance of complex alliances assigned.
    • Manages a team if appropriate.
    • Ensure the process is rolled out and well understood by all relevant MCO stakeholders
    • Ensure all activities operate in line with the Sanofi Code of Ethics and relevant policies.
    MAIN REQUIREMENTS
    Technical skills:
    • In-depth understanding of the market, competition, future market trends and entire local healthcare ecosystem
    • Significant experience in Pharma marketing and/or sales with EP portfolio.
    • Approach within a large organisation, including its implementation, establishment and iteration
    • Strong financial and commercial acumen
    • Analytical orientation and ability to structure complex problems
    • Strong communication skills, ability to present complex ideas simply and compellingly
    • Demonstrated ability to manage a range of projects types, complex business initiatives and change programmes; including healthcare, innovation and commercially oriented projects
    • Demonstrated capability building cross functional relationships. The role must be able to successfully work with and influence individuals not directly under their control

    CRITICAL EXPERIENCES REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE
    • Solid educational and professional background
    • Minimum 10 years of experience working in pharmaceutical company
    • Exposure to international environment with track record of performance in Marketing and Sales with deep knowledge and understanding of finance and Market Access
    • Digital Experience with Customer facing approach and new Go-to-Market(GTM) tactics.
    • Fluent in English
