• Develop and Quality checks program code, test plans/results, related objects, and documentation.
• Responds to Production Support issues.

• Conducts preliminary estimates / Rough Order of Magnitude for the level of effort of new/change to application functionality.

• Analyzes and documents the requirements and approaches to data conversion and data modelling.
• Conducts system studies, analyzes and evaluates existing computerized and manual systems/procedures to improve efficiency; researches and develops techniques for converting manual operations to a computerized system.
• Monitors and audits the work of junior staff, as necessary, to ensure that it meets installation standards, design specifications, efficiency, and accuracy.
• Designs and develops documentation of proposed procedures and systems.
• Performs preliminary evaluation of packaged software.
• Manages and controls system development projects.
• Supports the implementation activities, troubleshoots system environmental issues, provides training, as required.

• Strong knowledge and demonstrated ability with Software development.
• Advanced skills associated with software design, modification, implementation and deployment, including object-oriented programming concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to understand functional needs and how systems can support those needs.
• Ability to coordinate a small group of people working on the same delivery.
• Ability to interface with management on a regular basis.

• At least 5 years of experience working in application developments
• Good knowledge of Cobol AS400 and IBM DB2
• Knowledge of Apache Tomcat, IBM Web Sphere
• Experience working with SOAP Web Services, Enterprise integration patterns
• Being familiar with tools: Eclipse IDE, Git, Apache Maven
• Additional knowledge: Spring Framework, Azure
