Director of Digital Innovation (Oncology Business Unit)

As the Director of Digital Innovation, you will be reporting directly to the Head of Medical Digital Innovation. Your role will involve driving the management and delivery of key Oncology Digital Medical Innovation initiatives across Digital Health. You will work across geographies, collaborating with Global and Market cross-functional teams and external key partners to drive strategies that improve opportunities across Astra Zeneca’s portfolio and patient outcomes.

Accountabilities:
As the Director of Digital Innovation, you will be reporting directly to the Head of Medical Digital Innovation. Your role will involve driving the management and delivery of key Oncology Digital Medical Innovation initiatives across Digital Health. You will work across geographies, collaborating with Global and Market cross-functional teams and external key partners to drive strategies that improve opportunities across Astra Zeneca’s portfolio and patient outcomes.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a scientifically relevant subject area
- Extensive hands-on digital expertise, or relevant consulting experience, with digital tactics and channels, specifically, digital health, data & analytics and omni-channel campaigns strongly preferred.
- Experience crafting, building and owning end-to-end customer experiences dependent on sophisticated corporate structures and multiple partners.
- Experience in deploying and scaling technology programs across key markets, communicating and partnering with teams on a global scale.
- Ability to collaborate with both technology developers, academic institutions, and other internal functions to ensure business needs are translated into easy to use and relevant applications.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize information to develop recommendations, and ability to persuade/influence organization pursuit of recommended path.
Desirable:
- Ph D, Pharm D or equivalent experience or professional qualification (MD or equivalent)
- Clinical and / or academic research background
- Experience within a pharmaceutical or life sciences organization specializing in oncology, Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, Digital Health, Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals or Consumer Healthcare
- Established network of digital health technology innovators
