Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Director of HR, EMEA to lead our HR operations across these regions. Based in Madrid or Sevilla, the Director of HR, EMEA will play a critical role in developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in HR management, a deep understanding of labor laws and regulations, and a proven track record of driving organizational success through effective HR practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and initiatives that align with the company's business objectives and promote employee engagement, retention, and development.
- Lead the EMEA HR teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality HR services across the region.
- Partner with senior leadership and stakeholders to understand business needs and provide strategic HR guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent management.
- Oversee all aspects of HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
- Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives to foster a culture of belonging and respect within the organization.
- Lead and support organizational change initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and expansion into new markets.
- Develop and analyze HR metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and legal developments related to HR, ensuring compliance and proactively addressing emerging issues.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to managers and employees on HR-related matters, fostering a culture of open communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing HR operations in the EMEA region.
- Deep knowledge of EMEA labor laws and regulations, with experience navigating complex legal and compliance issues.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve results.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies that drive organizational success and support business growth.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to change and lead through ambiguity.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to translate data and insights into actionable HR initiatives.
- Fluent in English and Spanish; proficiency in additional languages spoken in the EMEA region is a plus.
- Willingness to travel (50%) within the EMEA region.
