Details of Position
Witan is a popular medium-sized English school run by a dedicated friendly family. We are an authorized Cambridge Preparation Centre located in Los Palacios, a nice and lively town full of restaurants, pubs and gyms of 38,000 inhabitants very close to Seville (20 minutes) and the coast.
We are seeking two English C2 level teachers for the next academic year 2024/25 from the middle of September to the middle of June approximately. The number of hours per week would be a minimum of 18, mainly in the afternoon and evening.
Post 1: young learners (from 8 to 12), teenagers, university students or adults. The teacher will prepare university students for Cambridge exams, mainly for B1 and B2 levels.
Both teachers must be passionate about the education, enthusiastic, dynamic and professional. We are looking ideally for teachers who wish to live in Los Palacios and can understand a little of Spanish.
Our school is very modern and full-equipped with large classrooms where our pupils have enough space to do all types of activities such as games, communicative activities … We have wifi, tablets, computers and projectors that our teachers can use. All teaching material and books are provided by the school and teachers can photocopy and scan without restriction (black and white)
Qualifications and Requirements
- A recognized TEFL diploma or a Teaching qualification
- Minimum two full years of recent experience in TEFL.
- University degree
- British or E.U. citizen or those holding a valid Spanish work permit.
- To be enthusiastic, hard-working and serious about the teaching profession.
- At least A2 level of Spanish
Salary and Benefits
- A monthly salary of 1.008 euros after tax.
- 3 weeks of paid holidays.
- Contract: 18 teaching hours per week.
- Legal contract declared in the Spanish Social Security System.
- Teachers are entitled to coverage and benefits of the Spanish National Health System.
- Assistance in finding accommodation.
- Workshops (which include lesson and objective planning, how to explain grammar to the students at different levels, etc), seminars and teacher training courses are given continuously during the academic course.
- The contract is from the middle of September 2024 to the middle of June 2025, renewable at the end of the academic year for the right candidate.
