We are now looking for a
Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Technician
to join our team working for a better future. The position is permanent and presential, located in Porriño, Galicia - Spain.
As EHS Technician, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with legal obligations related to Health and Safety regulations by implementing H&S policy, organization and procedures
- Support the H&S Committees, Customer Safety Manager etc in taking ownership of H&S Mgmt Plan and carrying out H&S activities
- Give support to Maintenance and Field Services for work permits after ensuring clearance for hazardous work
- Receive and investigate reports of accidents, dangerous occurrences and fire damage, determine causes for occurrences and recommend preventive actions
- Maintain a system for recording, reporting and investigating injuries, accidents and dangerous occurrences
- Identify training needs and conduct H&S related trainings
- Ensure that urgency arrangements are properly maintained and that drills are carried out
- Prepare and coordinate internal H&S audits
- Give support to Wellbeing activities
- Coordinate and follow up the reports and actions in We Care related to the site
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- PRL Official technical education
- Knowledge of EHS Spanish, Galician and local legislation
- Fluent in Spanish is mandated, English is recommended, and Galician will be a plus
- At least 5 years’ experience in industry
- Communication and teamwork skills
- Reporting & analysing skills
- Training & development skills
