You’ll be central to every aspect of our financial landscape, leading everything from invoicing and reporting to compliance and strategic planning. We’re looking for someone who thrives on responsibility, dives into diverse finance tasks, and is energized by the idea of being at the core of our ambitious goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Invoicing, Collections & Customer Relations: Manage accurate, timely invoicing and lead collections by following up on outstanding payments. You’ll work closely with operational contacts to stay informed about payment statuses from clients
Financial Reporting & Control: Take charge of weekly and monthly financial reports, covering P&L, budget analysis, and customer profitability. Additionally, oversee external reporting obligations like annual reporting, with support from our accountants in the Netherlands and Spain
A-to-Z Finance Operations: Handle all aspects of finance operations, from bank reconciliations and entering purchase invoices to monthly closing and shareholder reporting. This role requires someone willing to dive into all parts of finance management
Quarterly VAT & Monthly ICP Filings: Manage quarterly VAT filings for the Netherlands and monthly ICP filings for intracommunity sales, balancing this with guidance from our Dutch accountant if/when needed
Strategic Budgeting & Partnership: Collaborate closely with our founder and leadership team on budgets, business cases, and strategic planning to support our growth objectives
Compliance & Cross-Border Accounting: Ensure regulatory compliance for our Dutch (BV) and Spanish (SL) entities, coordinating with accounting partners to stay aligned with country-specific regulations
Process Automation & Optimization: Champion process improvements, utilizing financial automation to enhance efficiency and ensure data accuracy

What You Bring:

Education & Experience: Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Ideally, 5+ years in finance, though candidates with 2+ years of relevant experience in Spanish/Dutch accounting will be considered
Skills: Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities and excellent communication skills for presenting financial insights
Mindset: A proactive, hands-on approach ideal for a dynamic startup, with enthusiasm for varied financial responsibilities
Knowledge of Cross-Border Finance: Experience with Dutch and Spanish financial regulations, particularly in VAT and ICP filings, or a readiness to dive into these requirements
Tech-Savvy: Familiar with financial software and motivated to leverage technology for efficiency
